Heaven for anime fans =P Many titles can be found here, in completion. A while ago, they changed their policy to allow incomplete series to be posted. I guess the purpose was for long series, and people can post complete seasons on there. Complete series are marked with a “C”, though it doesn’t look much like a “C”, if you ask me. Multiaudio torrents are marked with an “M”. Usually, these are Japanese and English audio. You can always check by viewing the info on the torrent, or perhaps going through the comments pertaining to that torrent. Aside from anime, there’s also manga, OSTs, and live action stuff.

About registration on this site: you don’t have to register to download from Boxtorrents, but things like the search function and the ability to post comments will not be available to you. To look for stuff, you can still use the browse function.

This site can be overwhelming at first, so please look over their FAQ on the main site, as well as the forums. This thread might be useful: “Ultimate Box FAQ”.

There are also other guides to help you with downloading and viewing files in general, which could help you with downloading from other sites via BT. From the main site, go to Forums > FAQ/Guides, and browse through the stickies.

Btw, if you are looking for a certain manga title, and you can’t find it anywhere (Google it first!), perhaps you might take a look at their request list. Instructions plus link are on the main page of their site.

Another update (Feb/06): I have not looked into it in detail, but it seems that all yaoi/yuri/hentai material has been moved to their old domain, thelurker.net. So, the impression I’m getting is that the new site, gotlurk.net, should be adult-material free. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Index of various types of media. Good site for those wanting non-English fansubs… not sure if there are non-English scanlations as well. Links to the trackers on which torrents are hosted are available (click on “details”). Comments sometimes provide useful info as to what the torrent contains, or the irc channel of the group who released the torrent.

The only thing I don’t like about tokyotosho is that since anybody can submit new torrents, the comments for each torrent are sometimes abused. Also, the torrent might not be categorized properly. The most common occurrence of this is in the non-English fansubs; they get categorized under “Anime” when they should be under “Non-English”. A possible fix would be to rename the anime category to “Anime (English)”.

Tokyotosho has an irc channel, but note that they do not host any torrents on their site nor their irc channel.

Warning: Hentai is present on this site. There is a purple label that says “Hentai” on the left of hentai torrents. There is also the category if you want to narrow the list to show only these torrents.

This is a database that provides links to torrent files of unlicensed anime. There are some live-action series as well. Information provided about each series, such as number of episodes (if known), vintage date (when it started airing in Japan), and links to other sites with more info on the series. Information also provided about each fansub group in the database, including their website and IRC channel, if the group has these.

In short, very easy to browse, very informative.
