ideas anyone?

Left this site to gather dust for almost 3 months… School has been really busy, and I was just lazy as well.

I’m still not sure what sort of direction I want to take, because if I were to do all the places that mass-distro anime/manga, I’d run out of places soon. Also, most anime bittorrent trackers track the same releases anyway. So I don’t know if I should start posting about individual fansub groups, since some release via bittorrent, some via irc, some both. Some even do direct dl, though I’m not sure why they would, since people are lazy and if there’s direct dl, they wouldn’t use the other alteneratives. But anyway.

So, what I’m looking for is ideas. If you’re reading this right now (I wonder how big of an audience I have at this point xD), email me ideas! Or do requests! Go through what I have on my shortcuts list so far, and see if there’s anything you want me to write about, like, now… or soon… lol.

I await your comments or emails :D

DL method: IRC only

A|Distro is a distro bot. It distros most of the lastest anime releases, licenced or not. It seems that, since the last time I accessed this bot (which was at least a couple months ago), it has changed to concentrating on Naruto releases and also providing North American TV dramas on its bot.

This bot resides in the channel #Fileserving @ Rizon. Its pack list can be found either on the link above, or by typing “/msg A|Distro xdcc send #1″ (without the quotation marks). You must in the same channel as A|Distro and you must accept .txt files in order to receive the pack list.

While you are doing that, if you would like to donate to the owner of the bot or just want more info, you will probably find more up-to-date info by typing “/msg A|Distro xdcc list”.

Note: the fact that I wrote this post does not mean I encourage you to download the licenced anime or the TV dramas. Please read the disclaimer if you are confused.

UPDATE (Nov. 14/06): Currently, you cannot join #Fileserving without an invite. This has been for some time now. I don’t have access to the channel either, and I don’t know how to get an invite. Please be patient, and in the meanwhile, bAka-upload is a good bot ^^

LINK TO SITE

DL method: Bittorrent only.

This tracker hosts unlicenced anime releases for many fansubbing groups. At the side, there is a list of the most recent releases from all the groups hosted on the site. News about the tracker/site is near the bottom, along with various links and tracker stats.

Personally, I don’t visit this site very often anymore, since almost all the releases found here are posted on AnimeSuki anyway. But it may still be a useful site for some, especially if you are looking for something older (there is now a search function on the site as well), so here it is :)
